Cellular Atomaton

We can create simulations by dividing the world into cells, either grids in two dimensions or cubes in three dimensions. By creating properties and rules for simulating the world, we can create complex interactions based on these simple mechanisms.

We can start with Conway's game of life.

In popular culture, we have Minecraft which operates similarily.

  • Build basic Minecraft-like system
  • Gradually reduce scale of the voxels.
  • Have different chunks with their own world transformations and interactions between them.
  • Have transitionary mechanisms between shape volumes and voxels (similar to illustrator and photoshop).
